Worldwide there are approximately 3,000 merchant ports and the work of the Harbour Master can vary widely from country to country and from port to port even within the same country.

The GloFouling Partnerships is an international project led by the IMO to address the transfer of harmful aquatic species through biofouling in some of the developing regions of the world.
The IMO-GloFouling Partnerships flagship conference on Biofouling Management will bring together regulatory bodies, academia, leading scientific experts, technology developers, and representatives from maritime industries such as shipping, ports and harbours, aquaculture & fishing, offshore oil & gas, deep sea mining and ocean renewable energy, for a comprehensive overview of this rapidly expanding area of research and development of technologies.
Call for Abstracts and Presentations
The abstract or presentation proposal should be written in English, with maximum length of 250 words. The text should include objectives, results and conclusions, or, in the case of presentations, a description of the subject, the main aim and the conclusions or main aspects.
Abstracts should be submitted by email to: glofouling@imo.org
The deadline for submissions is 31 July 2022
All proposals will be reviewed by an international scientific committee and authors will be notified of acceptance by 15 August 2022.
Since a large number of proposals are expected to be submitted to this IMO-GloFouling flagship event, the deadlines will be strictly followed.
